Benchtop Joins

Our benchtops are available with four types of joins, Mason Mitre joins, Mitre joins, Lightning joins, and Butt joins. To join benchtops with toggles, align the pieces, apply a bead of silicone to the joint's edges, and press the pieces together. Then, insert the toggle bolts into the pre-bored holes on the underside and tighten them with a spanner to pull the edges flush and secure the join. Gently tap with a rubber mallet and a block to ensure the surfaces are perfectly level, then fully tighten the bolts. Clean off any excess silicone and allow 24 hours for the silicone to cure.

Mason Mitre Joins

For L-shape benchtops, Mason Mitre joins are straight seams aligning with the width of the bench.

Bench join mitre

Mitre Joins

For L-shape benchtops, Mitre joins create an angled seam from the corner of the join, with an even split between each section.

Bench join lightning

Lightning Joins

For wide angled benchtops, Lightning joins create a double Mason Mitre join between two bench sections.

Bench join butt

Butt Joins

For straight benchtops, Butt joins extend the length of the benchtop with a straight seam connecting two sections.

Benchtop Edges

Our benchtop seen ends are available in three edge profiles to suit your preferred design. Alternatively, select the "Raw" option when your benchtop will be against a wall or structure and the edge won't be seen.
